WKU recognizes 2019 Family of the Year
The family of WKU senior Michaela Brangers of Elizabethtown was recognized Saturday as WKU’s 2019 Family of the Year.

Brangers, who is majoring in Mathematical Economics with minors in Finance and Applied Statistics, was joined by her parents, Chris and Christa Brangers, and siblings Gabe and Courtney Brangers, as part of WKU’s Parent and Family Weekend activities.

“My parents raised my siblings and me to always stick up for one another, to put our education first, and, above all, try our hardest in absolutely everything we do,” she said in her nomination essay. “They have encouraged us to try every sport and hobby imaginable, resulting in us having the ability to try, fail, try again, and succeed in those which we are passionate about. Needless to say, my parents are the best role models we could have asked for; I can only hope that one day I will have the opportunity to raise my own children just as they did.”

Spotlight: Liam Wilson
Making every moment of his WKU experience count, Liam Wilson has been gaining real-world experience by working in the WKU Office of Admissions. But that's not all the Bowling Green junior is doing to gain experience. He recently returned from a six-month internship with the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World.
