Before becoming a Habitat volunteer, Sean was a longtime ReStore customer. Volunteering at the ReStore seemed like a natural next step after he retired.
Sean started by working shifts on the sales floor and as a scrapper. But it didn’t take long for another opportunity to come his way, as a suggestion was made that Sean might be a good fit for a Family Support role.
Soon after, Sean began working with Habitat families, helping them navigate the homeownership process. Today, he finds that work especially rewarding.
“It is very rewarding to help families go through the Habitat process and move into their new home.”
Sean also appreciates the people he meets along the way, from Habitat staff to fellow volunteers and the families he supports. We’re grateful that what began with shopping at the ReStore has grown into a meaningful way for Sean to help make Habitat’s mission a reality for local families.
