Elevate Your Leadership

Great leadership doesn’t happen by accident... it is cultivated through action, mentorship, and continuous growth.

We are thrilled to announce that the Northmont Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Brock Heath, Founder of Lion Chasers, to facilitate our flagship professional development program: the Amped-Up Leadership Academy!

If you are looking to sharpen your leadership edge, or if you are an employer ready to invest in your highest-potential team members, this interactive six-month academy (one day a month) was built for you.

Why Brock Heath, founder of Lion Chasers?

Brock Heath brings a dynamic, high-energy approach to professional development that replaces passive, "sit-and-listen" lectures with immersive, real-world execution. Recognized by Dr. John Maxwell as one of the Top 100 Leaders in North America, Brock’s perspective is forged at the intersection of elite military leadership and corporate strategy.

A former U.S. Marine Infantry Sergeant and squad leader who deployed across 13 countries, Brock went on to earn a degree in Leadership and Management and spent a decade climbing the corporate ranks. Today, as the founder of the nation-sweeping Lion Chasers movement, he helps organizations tackle complex challenges, drive accountability, and cultivate high-performance cultures. Under his hands-on guidance, participants walk away from every session equipped with actionable, proven tools to transform their teams and lead with clarity.

Program Highlights

The curriculum is built directly on BetterCulture's 7 Principles of Leadership©, a proven national framework designed by executives who built a 5-time "#1 Best Place to Work" organization. Rather than abstract leadership theory, every module delivers concrete vocabulary, tools, and mindsets to address real workplace challenges. All of this broken down in 6 months (one day each month)!

Month 1: Mission, Culture, & Excellence

  • Core Focus: Establishing that culture isn't a poster on a wall, it’s driven by everyday leader behavior.
  • Key Topics:
  • Culture vs. Excellence: Why high standards and healthy workplace culture must coexist.
  • Excellence & Internal Customer Service: Why "satisfied" customers are at risk of leaving, and how serving internal teams directly impacts external results.
  • Recruitment & Selection: Aligning hiring practices with organizational culture from day one.

Month 2: Instilling Pride

  • Core Focus: Turning ordinary job tasks into meaningful work that employees take pride in performing.
  • Key Topics:
  • Cosmos & Locals: Understanding employee mindsets and how they connect to company identity.
  • Do You Know Your History? Leveraging organizational story and tradition to build buy-in.
  • Strategic Recognition: Mastering second-hand compliments, proactive praise ("fishing for compliments"), and turning staff into brand advocates.

Month 3: Driving Employee Growth

  • Core Focus: Shifting from "boss" to "coach" by helping staff succeed in work and life.
  • Key Topics:
  • The Magic Feedback Ratio: Striking the balance between constructive accountability and positive reinforcement.
  • Success & Mentorship: Practical strategies like "Think Up Two" to continuously develop talent pipeline depth.
  • A Sea of Possibilities: Fostering a mindset that embraces continuous learning and adaptability.

Month 4: Maintaining High Standards

  • Core Focus: Protecting your top performers by addressing poor performance and toxic behavior directly.
  • Key Topics:
  • The DNA of Employee Error: Diagnosing whether performance gaps stem from training, systems, or attitude.
  • Performance Conferences with Confidence: Conducting hard, necessary conversations without fear or hesitation.
  • Goodbye to Option B: Removing toxicity and establishing non-negotiable standards of excellence.

Month 5: Decision-Making & Open Analysis

  • Core Focus: Promoting thorough analysis, psychological safety, and debate before making strategic choices.
  • Key Topics:
  • The 360 Rule & Inverting Questions: Challenging assumptions by arguing the opposing side before executing decisions.
  • Backward Planning: Mapping out operational strategies starting from the desired end state.
  • Listening Dynamics: Knowing when a leader should step back, ask questions, and let the team build solutions.

Month 6: Managing Conflict & Workplace Culture

  • Core Focus: Turning healthy conflict into productive dialogue while keeping work engaging and fun.
  • Key Topics:
  • The "Unspeakables" & Apologies: Addressing underlying team tensions before they ruin team chemistry.
  • Empower Your Fun People: Recognizing that joy and humor increase retention and reduce burnout.
  • Human Motivation: Identifying what employees actually need to feel fulfilled at work.

Exclusive Cohort Opportunity

To maintain an engaging, highly collaborative environment, cohort size is strictly limited to 20 participants.

Because demand for this inaugural class is expected to be high, all submitted applications will undergo a formal review process by our selection committee. We are seeking current and emerging leaders who demonstrate drive, a commitment to professional growth, and a desire to make a lasting impact within their organization and the Northmont community.

Being selected for this cohort is a mark of leadership distinction, and accepted applicants will be notified following the review period.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn directly from Brock Heath, expand your regional network, and experience leadership in action across the Northmont area.

We look forward to reviewing your application and welcoming our inaugural class of leaders!
