Last week, 130 campers in Grades 3-9 worked with almost two dozen CA players and coaches in three different gyms during an unforgettable week of basketball skill-building. Our Boys Basketball Camp is always a summer highlight at Concordia Academy, and this year was no exception! We're thankful for all the campers, but we're also deeply appreciative for the coaching staff and Beacon players and alumni who connected with and taught the participants.

Back-to-School Newsletter Arrives on Monday

Watch your email for our 2026-2027 Back-to-School Newsletter, scheduled to be emailed on Monday, July 27. It will contain lots of important details about the upcoming school year, so please be sure to explore it carefully. Then, on Friday, August 7, the CA Update email will resume its weekly schedule. Senior parents and guardians who will not have a student at CA this fall will not be removed from this email distribution until mid-August. Families of seniors can click here and choose "Friends Who Want Weekly Update" to continue to receive the weekly CA Update after August.

Fall Sports Registration Opens August 1

As mentioned in previous CA Update emails, the Skyline Conference is now using the "Bound" platform for scheduling/calendar and athlete registration. Registration for fall sports opens on August 1. Starting then, to register, click here and then go to the "Registration" tab.

If you registered your student for sports during the 2025-2026 school year, the student and their last physical date will be rolled over to the new system. However, if your student needs a new physical this year, it must be uploaded to the new system during the registration process. Students will not be allowed to participate in sports until their physicals are up to date.

This link will walk you through the new registration process. If you need help or have questions, Bound would prefer you contact them directly instead of going through the school athletic office. When you're logged in to the Bound platform, click on the green "B" graphic in the lower right-hand corner, and you'll be able to send them a message.

Senior Retreat

Members of the Class of 2027 will kick off the school year with a senior retreat at Camp Omega on Aug. 26-27! The retreat is a valuable part of the senior year experience at CA, and it's also a fun opportunity to jumpstart the year and connect with classmates. As such, the retreat is required for all Concordia Academy seniors.

Seniors will leave during the school day on Aug. 26 and return by the end of the school day on the 27th. An email with specific details will be sent the week of Aug. 3. The form found here must be completed for a student to attend. To accommodate dietary restrictions, the form must be submitted by Aug. 7.

Additionally, we are looking to use a Thrivent Action Team Grant for the retreat. If you or someone you know has an Action Team Grant available, please contact Andrew Asp at andrew.asp@concordiaacademy.com.
