Community Corner:
A lookback at a tree-mendous Arbor Day event
| | |
Happy belated Arbor Day! At the city of Aurora, we are all a bunch of tree huggers, that’s why we celebrated this year’s Arbor Day with a bit of extra flare by teaming up with Outdoor Colorado for a massive tree planting event. Aurora Forestry staff and 75 volunteers planted 4,500 sapling trees at various open space areas such as Plains Conservation Center (PCC), Pronghorn Natural Area and Star K Ranch.

This project is part of Aurora’s ongoing efforts to revitalize its open spaces and natural areas. Learn more about the valuable work being done by our Forestry Team and how you can be a better friend to trees at AuroraGov.org/Trees.
