My Bookbag
At this time, when I cannot drive, I often walk from home to church and from church to home. It would be nice if Eva offered to take me, but she tells me to take an Uber, which is hard to find in Kingstree. It’s not far and I usually enjoy it. The rush hour traffic is not horrendous; the gnats are. Normally, I carry my bookbag each way. On the way to work, I have important things in my bookbag: my laptop, Eva’s unopened bank statement, Nabs, a Diet Coke, and a list of overdue phone calls, things Laura has demanded, etc. I carry my bookbag home simply to look like I work for a living.
What I seem to leave at the office when I’m home, or at home when I’m in the office, is the subject of this week’s sermon: LOVE, as described in 1 Corinthians 13. That description includes patience, kindness, envy, arrogance and rudeness. Those won’t fit, but is perfect fit in your heart and behavior.
Have Fun, David
