The GNJMA Safety & Risk Committee identified a need for education regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

We have happy to offer our members two online sessions with Peter Chandler, Team Leader of the Passenger Carrier Safety Division of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration facilitating.

The first webinar is geared toward dispatchers, operational staff, managers and owners. The second webinar is geared for drivers. Please join us for these informative webinars and register today. Below are the links for registration.

Overview: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) implementing regulations, that will be explained in this webinar, apply to over-the-road bus (OTRB) companies. An OTRB is a bus characterized by an elevated passenger deck over a baggage compartment. Any motorcoach is an OTRB. However, there are non-motorcoach vehicles that are OTRBs. This webinar will not cover the ADA regulatory requirements that apply to entities that operate passenger-carrying vehicles that do not meet the OTRB definition.
