Dear Families,

The year has flown by, and we are already reviewing and planning for next school year.

If you are a MOScholars family, we ask that you submit your bill directly to MOScholars. Please also notify Karina in the front office if you have applied so we can adjust your payment schedule accordingly.

MOScholars is available for tuition families. The application deadline for this year has passed. If they reopen enrollment, I will share with families.

To learn more about MOScholars, please visit: Qualification Check - Herzog Tomorrow Foundation

You may sign up to be notified when applications re-open on the webpage.

After pre-qualifying, families will receive a link to formally apply with the Missouri State Treasurer’s Office. At that stage, applicants will be required to upload tax information, proof of residency (such as a driver’s license or utility bill), and other documentation to verify eligibility.

Qualifying criteria have not changed for the 2026–27 school year. Per state law, to qualify for MOScholars, the student must be a legal Missouri resident and meet one of the following conditions:

  • Have a formal IEP/ISP issued within the past 36 months; OR
  • Have a household income under 300% of the reduced lunch threshold (for example, a family of four with a household income of $178,433 or less this year) AND meet one of the following:
  • Entering Kindergarten or 1st Grade; OR
  • Attended a public school for at least one semester during the past 12 months; OR
  • Be a sibling of a renewal scholarship student.

We would also like to extend a big congratulations to Deb and our cafeteria team for receiving a 100% on their recent health department lunch inspection, way to go, ladies!

SCHOOL FEES 25-26 IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Please check you parent portal for any remaining fees that are due. Lunch balances are accrued daily as the student eats. I am going to push lunches to billing your account daily so you can keep up with what is due. When you look at your balance you can add any additional days ($2.75/day) fee to that and prepay for the rest of the year. Please call Kelley in the school office if you have any questions regarding fees due. Thank you!!

Please apply online at https://diojeffcity.org/about-us/employment/

or email Dr. Gayle Trachsel at gtrachsel@stpeterjc.org

May Crowning will take place during the Wednesday school Mass on May 6. We are asking all students to join in on the celebration by bringing a single flower to their teachers when they arrive to school that will then be placed in a class vase and brought to the Mass.

Pack 4 Fundraiser!

Pack 4 is hosting a fundraiser at West Main Pizza on May 5th, and we’re hoping to spread the word to as many families as possible. This event is a great opportunity for our Pack to raise funds while also supporting a local business, and it should be a fun, easy way for families to participate.

The yearly fundraising/scrip statement, which tells you how much you will receive from the 25-26 school year should have came home with your student this week. Please make sure to check with your student for the statement. If you do not receive it, please email Betsy Lock, the fundraising coordinator at block@stpeterjc.org.

They are due back to receive the credit by May 8, 2026. If you do not send it back with the selected place for the credit to go by the due date it will be donated to St. Peter School.

There WILL BE aftercare on the last day of school. If you are working Summer Blast off

and will be taking your kids home with you INSTEAD of sending them to ASC, PLEASE

SEND ME AN EMAIL. Thank you!

IF YOU DID NOT receive a confirmation email from me and would like to sign your children up for After School Care for next school year, please send me an email and I will add them to my list.

WE ARE HIRING! After School Care is hiring aides for next school year. If you have a

student in 8th grade (or higher) who is interested in working with children, please contact ASC Director, Betsy Bartow at bbartow@stpeterjc.org for a link to the application.

Quick Reference Guide to the Diocese of Jefferson City Stewardship Model

Catholic Stewardship Renewal/Time and Talent Form

TO BE AN “ACTIVE” CATHOLIC STEWARD MEANS:

  • To Pray: that is, attend Mass faithfully in the parish on weekends and Holy Days.
  • To Participate: that is, to use one’s time and talents to strengthen the parish community and advance the Gospel.
  • To Sacrificially Give: that is, pledge and remain current on a tithe of financial first fruits to support the life and ministries of the parish. The goal is 8% to the parish and 2% to other worthy charities.
