Little Big Sur Stitching Retreat May 20 - 23, 2027

Registration for the inaugural Little Big Sur Stitching Retreat is now open!

Join us May 20 - 23, 2027 for a memorable weekend of stitching set along one of the most serene and stunning stretches of California’s coast.

Spend your days stitching, learning, laughing, and creating alongside talented instructors who will inspire you with fresh techniques and new ideas. When it’s time to unwind, savor delicious local cuisine and take in the beauty of the coast that surrounds you.

And each evening brings a new experience as we partner with a different local winery each night, giving you the chance to sip exceptional local wines, enjoy the company of fellow stitchers, and experience a little more of what makes this region so special.

It’s more than a stitching retreat—it’s a chance to slow down, be inspired, indulge your creativity, build some skills, and create lasting memories in an unforgettable coastal setting.

Come for the stitching. Stay for the scenery, the wine, the food, and the friendships.

The luxurious Cavalier Oceanfront Resort in San Simeon, CA will be our home base. The resort is nestled on a scenic seaside bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean where you can gaze out your window and enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Situated just 100 yards from the water, you will enjoy an Ocean view room with a private patio with a sliding door!

You will have the opportunity to take 4 workshops from legendary instructors: Melissa Leapman and Benjamin Matthews. And you will receive a snappy project bag filled with the yarn you need for your class projects along with a few extra surprises! And we've included a special tour of Hearst Castle and a Private Shopping Experience at Ball & Skein & More.

When you're not stitching, you can relax in one of the two heated ocean view pools or hot tubs. Or stay cozy and dry in front of one of the three oceanfront fire pits!

In planning this retreat, I really wanted to share with you what makes the “Little Big Sur” section of California's Central Coast so spectacular and show you all the reasons I feel so lucky to live here!
