Eighth Sunday after Sunday After Pentecost
Sitting with It
Hosea 11:1-11
This Sunday, we’ll read from the prophet Hosea about God’s internal dialogue about what on earth to do with their child Israel. How does God experience and process anguish, fear, and rage while maintaining a fierce commitment to Divine Love? During worship, we will gather at the communion table where God welcomes all of God’s children to receive the bread of life and the cup of blessing. We’ll have a mission moment from our community partner, Rise Against Suicide. After worship, all are invited to the Plymouth Hall for coffee hour and fellowship.
Childcare for little ones is available in the nursery. School age children and youth are staying in worship this Sunday. There will be a table up front where Susan W. will join them for quiet activities.

| The Social Justice Coalition invites you to a House Meeting – small group, 90-minute gatherings to listen to what is most pressing to our community in this moment, particularly in light of the current threats to our democracy. We’ll share what’s keeping us awake at night, strengthen our connections with one another to prepare us for the work ahead, and reflect on how the church can respond.
