MRFF SAYS GOOD RIDDANCE TO RABID

CHRISTIAN DOMINIONIST, MISOGYNIST,

HATE-FILLED BIGOT, HOMOPHOBE, AND

CHILD BEATING ADVOCATE JAMES DOBSON

“It’s no secret that James Dobson despised me and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and we despised him and every vile thing he ever stood for, including, but hardly limited to, homophobia, Islamophobia, misogyny, antisemitism, and Christian nationalism.”

Statement on the Death of James Dobson

Focus on the Family’s detestable, hate-filled bigot and rabid Christian dominionist founder James Dobson is dead.

It’s no secret that James Dobson despised me and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and we despised him and every vile thing he ever stood for, including, but hardly limited to, homophobia, Islamophobia, misogyny, antisemitism, and Christian nationalism.

MRFF’s early clashes with Dobson stemmed from Focus on the Family’s intentionally close proximity to the United Staes Air Force Academy. It was at the Air Force academy where Dobson could push his fundamentalist, Christian supremacist, dominionist “Biblical worldview” on the Academy’s cadets, faculty, and staff, wielding his unconstitutionally corrupt influence over thousands of our future military leaders.

Then there were Dobson’s now-widow Shirley’s disgusting displays of Christian nationalistic pageantry known as the National Day of Prayer — every first Thursday of May at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., year after year.

In 2010, MRFF got Islamophobe Franklin Graham disinvited from speaking at the Dobson’s Pentagon National Day of Prayer event.

MRFF’s annual objections to the Dobsons having military color guards, bands, and other uniformed military personnel as speakers at their big Christian nationalist shindig led Dobson to call me a “professional atheist” on Fox News. At least Dobson’s fellow deceased bigoted Christian supremacist Pat Robertson acknowledged that I’m Jewish when he called me a “little jewish radical.”

*FUN FACT: let us not forget that when Focus on The Family first opened up it's sprawling campus of noxious, Christian nationalist supremacy several decades ago in 1991, my alma mater, the United States Air Force Academy, authorized its renown, cadet parachute team known as the “Wings of Blue" to parachute down out of the azure blue Colorado Springs skies to land on the front lawn of Focus on The Family and present Dobson with the “Keys to Heaven.”

Speaks effing volumes, eh?!

Lastly, for so many who have asked me for a pithy response to Dobson's croaking, let me sum it up another way; to wit:

“Ding Dong the witch is dead!”
