IT'S NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK!

National Library Week is April 4-10, 2021.

This week we highlight the essential role libraries, librarians and library workers play in serving their communities, especially during these challenging times. Show your love and enter for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card!

Celebrate National Library Week 2021 by sharing what you love about the resources and services available at your library. Post to Instagram, Twitter, or on the I Love Libraries Facebook page, about an e-book, audiobook, virtual storytime or program, or how your library has made a difference while you've been social distancing at home. Use the hashtag #MyLibraryIs.

The American Library Association will gather all the entries, and one randomly selected winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card. The promotion runs Sunday, April 4 - Saturday, April. Don’t forget to tag our library!
How Well do you Know Our Library?
Take the Quiz for a Chance to Win a Gift Card to Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe.

The theme for National Library Week 2021, “Welcome to Your Library,” promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building – and that everyone is welcome to use their services.

During the pandemic libraries like Lewisboro have been going above and beyond to adapt to our changing world by expanding their resources and continuing to meet the needs of their users.

Want to test your knowledge of Library services? Take this "Welcome to Your Library Trivia Quiz".

Everyone who finishes the quiz will be entered into a drawing for a gift card from Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe.
IT'S THE BIG READ!

The Lewisboro Library is helping readers embrace humor to reduce stress together during the next Big Library Read, the world’s largest digital book club.

From April 5-19, readers can learn stress-managing techniques by reading the ebook The Art of Taking It Easy, by psychologist and stand-up comedian Brian King. Library patrons can borrow the ebook without waiting by downloading the Libby app or visiting https://westchester.overdrive.com/.

Readers can then discuss the book online HERE.

Big Library Read is available in over 20,000 libraries around the world. The program is facilitated by OverDrive, the leading digital reading platform for popular ebooks, audiobooks and magazines.

Readers can also join a LIVE virtual discussion with Dr. King on April 13 at 1 pm. Register for the Zoom link HERE.

In addition, readers will have a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and signed book by the author if they use #biglibraryread on social media during this time frame.
