Dear St. Michael’s Church,
Thank you for your incredible generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting our mission efforts following this year's Global Impact Celebration (GIC). This report provides a clear overview of the donations received and how your Mission Offerings are spreading our impact around the world. Your support truly makes a tangible difference.
As of June 30, we are deeply grateful for the pledged offerings totaling $114,286.00 made after the 2025 GIC. This total includes both "Undesignated Mission" support and "Designated Mission" financial contributions.
I. General Mission Support (Undesignated Gifts)
These funds offer crucial flexibility, allowing St. Michael's Church, through your Mission Task Force, to direct resources to areas of greatest need, respond to emergencies, and support the foundational work of our mission outreach.
The total amount of General Mission Donations received year-to-date is: $68,852. We continue to receive pledge contributions throughout the year, enabling us to respond to real needs with our mission partners.
II. Special Project Contributions (Designated Gifts Received)
Designated Mission Support remains a vital way parishioners contribute by directing gifts to specific mission partners. The total amount of Designated Gifts sent to mission partners in 2025 is: $33,225.00. These gifts directly support the specific projects and partners you care about most.
III. Your Mission Offerings: Commitments and Progress
Mission Offerings represent special commitments that empower your Mission Task Force to plan and confidently commit to future projects.
Your Mission Task Force is currently developing a strategic plan to guide our actions over the next 24 months. Key aspects of this planning include:
-
Supporting Congregational Mission Trips:
Working with our Mission Task Force captains to facilitate opportunities for members of our congregation to participate in mission trips.
Welcoming missionaries to Charleston throughout the year to foster deeper connections with our congregation. These interactions have been a blessing and continue to bear fruit.
New Initiative: Missionary Ambassadors
We are excited to introduce a new role: the Missionary Ambassador. This is someone willing to build relationships with our mission partners, regularly pray for them, and learn about their mission work. Missionary Ambassadors have a passion for communication and for sharing the stories and testimonies of our mission impact throughout the year and at other opportunities.
