Canadian Lymphedema Framework Assembly 2027:

Canada Connects

May 13–15, 2027 | Dalhousie University | Halifax, Nova Scotia

Come together in Halifax for three days of learning, connection, conversation, and collective action focused on advancing lymphedema care in Canada.

CLFA2027 is more than a traditional conference. It is designed not simply to bring people together, but to put the people in the room at the centre of what happens next. People with lived experience, healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, advocates, industry partners, health-system leaders, and others will bring different perspectives to the Assembly – and, through the professionally facilitated Open Space Forum, will help create the agenda together around the issues and opportunities they believe matter most.

Early Rate: $249 CAD

Available through December 31, 2026

Regular Rate: $299 CAD

Beginning January 1, 2027

Your registration includes the complete three-day Assembly experience, lunch and refreshments on all three days, and Thursday evening’s Canada Connects Ceilidh – a relaxed, kitchen-party-style evening with live entertainment, conversation, and a generous spread of food designed for mingling and connection.

Registered participants will also have access to our negotiated rates for on-campus Dalhousie residence accommodations and will receive a digital post-Assembly report capturing the ideas, priorities, and potential actions emerging from the Assembly.

No taxes or service fees are added to the advertised registration price.

One Assembly.

Two Connected Experiences.

One Shared Purpose.

DAY 1: MAY 13

Lymphedema LEAD Day – Learn, Explore, Ask, Discover brings registered Assembly participants together for a full day of learning, discovery, and connection.

The Assembly opens with an inspiring plenary, followed by opportunities to explore the Lymphedema Learning & Resource Hub, take part in learning studio sessions, connect with others from across the lymphedema community, and wrap up the day at the Canada Connects Ceilidh.

DAYS 23: MAY 14–15

With the connections and shared learning of LEAD Day setting the stage, CLFA2027 moves into a dynamic, two-day, professionally facilitated Open Space Forum.

The people in the room will create the agenda together around one central question:

What will it take to advance lymphedema care in Canada – and what are we ready to do together?

Rather than following a predetermined conference agenda, participants will identify the issues and opportunities that matter most, explore them together, build new connections, and identify ideas, priorities, and potential actions for the future.

Join the conversations that interest you most, propose a topic of your own, move freely between discussions, or simply listen and learn. There is no single right way to participate – and no presentation, special expertise, or prepared solution is required.

Who Should Join the Assembly?

Improving lymphedema care takes all of us. Whether your expertise comes from lived experience, professional practice, research, education, policy, innovation, or storytelling, you’ll find a place in the conversation.

  • People living with lymphedema, families, caregivers, and care partners
  • Clinicians, compression fitters, and other health professionals
  • Researchers, educators, academic leaders, and students
  • Policymakers, funders, insurers, and health-system leaders
  • Industry partners, suppliers, and innovators
  • Journalists, advocates, volunteers, and community leaders

Together, we can help build a more connected, collaborative, and forward-looking Canadian lymphedema community.
