Following up from Tuesday you will remember that I drove to Atlanta to attend an eBay Open Studio event downtown that had employees and sellers networking and getting answers. I got to speak directly to members of five different eBay teams and get questions answered. One of these was a growth advisor who is a fellow Eagle Scout.
Sadly I didn't get any good answers on the combined shipping issue. At least I raised the problem to complain that their system does not like merging auction wins, offers that were accepted and BIN purchases together. Likewise I shared some bugs in the listing flow with using csv files to upload drafts. I am hoping to hear back soon from someone there regarding eBay newsletters which I have almost never used.
Going into the weekend I have put a lot of effort into boosting my main account Santeeswapper and have 226 live auctions ending. These include Jamboree, OA, first issue CSPs and more.
All this week the virtual event has been going on (Weds-Fri) called eBay Open. All of the sessions will eventually appear on the eBay For Business YouTube channel so you can see them. So far of the ones I've watched I have not learned any new tricks but have been intrigued by some of the observations made by eBay executives. Turns out many of you are what they call "enthusiasts". Meaning buyers who come to the site for a passion hobby but also likely spend money in other day-to-day categories as you are familiar and trusting of the site.
