University Visits

We love having young people from around the world visiting our organization and seeing our projects. If only every university student before graduation travelled far from home in a peaceful exchange with other cultures. The world would surely be a better place!

We had two American universities visiting us in May.

Pennsylvania State University

18 students and professors visited our projects, starting with a presentation in our offices and then visits of schools and the women's project. They donated books for a library and were excited to read aloud to the students. It was the university's 2nd visit to CCDO.

Northeastern University Visit

A large group of 25 people was split into 3 so that they could make the most of their time. Students played sports with the kids, interacted with English and Computer class and read to kids in library at Tapang school.

Two of the students, Sofia Arvesen and Allie Clark have were inspired to offer the assistance of the students Global Research & Consulting group to help with fundraising and other needs. The GRC group is part of a network of 24 plus universities with students giving back to society. We can’t wait for the new academic year to start our partnership.

Our Impact

Our volunteer Graphic Designer, Brian Bibi, has again used his creativity creating a poster highlighting some of the areas where CCDO has had a big impact in recent years. A picture really brings it into perspective. Thanks to Brian who celebrates a BIG birthday this month.

Give Asia

If you are in Asia and would prefer to donate via a local platform please use: GiveAsia.com.

We work with local communities that do their share to ensure their children have access to good education.

The roof of the TaBrok School English Classroom was recently repaired before the rainy season and the parents helped raise part of the funds needed. They are proud that their children have the opportunity to have extra classes so they can dream of a better future.

Donors

Keeping the lights on and office staff paid is always a concern. We are so appreciative when we receive unrestricted funds.

Tawingo Foundation from Hong Kong, has increased their yearly donation to $20,000 via SE Asia Foundation. Thanks to Jenny Hong and Bill Taylor, the tireless advocate for children and women.

A huge shout out to The Forgotten Int’l who matched a generous donor in United States with CCDO. A donation of $15,000 was made to build a preschool in the memory of a loved one.

Please consider honoring a loved one with a donation to our education program.

Visitors

Recent visitors Anthony Utard and Calvin Hall (formerly of New York City) and now living in Thailand, were very impressed with CCDO and their education and other programs when they toured CCDO programs on their visit to Siem Reap.

“Spending time with Sovoan (director) and the CCDO team was the highlight of our visit to Siem Reap. Seeing their commitment to the welfare of children and families and how they help them build their own future, you can tell how the community is appreciative and grateful for all CCDO does.”

Thank you for your donation and visit.
