Mercedes-Benz launched their flagship 560 SL at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1985. It was sold alongside the 500 SL with minor external changes, improved front wheel suspension new brakes and a 5.6-liter V8 engine. It is a luxury two seater with both hard and soft tops, this Mercedes-Benz will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.0 sec, and a quarter mile time of 15.5 sec., and a top speed of 139 mph.
This 560SL is in effect 3 different cars: an open-air roadster, a convertible coupe, and with fitting the steel hardtop, a closed grand touring coupe. This beautiful car can provide the pleasures of a sporting machine, and the benefits of a luxury Mercedes-Benz. Built like a tank, with handsome looks, Mercedes-Benz, was hitting their stride with this late 1980's SL Roadster.
Finished in Signal Red with a matching removable hard top, a Palomino interior and a newer black convertible top, it is well equipped and appointed. This two owner car has been currently owned since June of 2013, and has been well cared for. It has recently received a new alternator and a/c components, and all systems work as they should.
Included are the hardtop (not used under current ownership) with its cart and cover, and its wind deflector.
