Omega Mantels

There is no substitute for a wood-burning fireplace framed by a stone mantle. However, when it comes to convenience, the "smart" hearth may be the next best thing.

With a tap, you can command heat level, the wood grain of the glowing logs, even the flame’s height, color, and flicker. Those that use infrared heat can warm a room. Some have "no heat modes" that can be used and opt for a level of ambiance during hot July evenings, or warmth through colder January nights.

Amy Sherald: American Sublime

Now - April 5th, 2026

Baltimore Museum of Art

“American Sublime is a salve. It’s a call to remember our shared humanity and an insistence on being seen.” - Amy Sherald

A new yet major force in American portraiture, Amy Sherald is a MICA graduate who used Baltimore and its inhabitants as a muse during her formative years as an artist. Sherald uses grayscale as a tool to paint skin tone and convey the interior life and story of the person she is painting.

Sherald made history in 2016 as the first African American to win the grand prize in the National Portrait Gallery’s Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition for her painting Miss Everything (Unsuppressed Deliverance). That recognition led to the commission of the official, famous portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama for the National Portrait Gallery’s collection.

Do you have the attention of your best prospects?

A high-design print magazine like Annapolis Home encourages slower, more thoughtful reading.

Research shows that with print readers spend more time on each page, absorbing stories and ads more fully instead of skimming digital text and images.

After encountering a compelling print ad, most readers will seek out the brand on their own—by asking someone they trust, visiting a business in person, or researching it later—rather than scanning a QR code and immediately contacting.

Print advertising in a luxury magazine works over time. It builds familiarity, trust, and sustained interest.

The impact of print is not measured in instant clicks, but in growing brand recognition and meaningful reach among targeted homeowners and industry professionals—results that lead to a much stronger bottom line.
