Airdrie Business Licence Bylaw Survey

The City of Airdrie is reviewing its Business Licence Bylaw to ensure it supports local businesses and reflects current practices. As part of this review, the City is exploring whether the current Bylaw remains fit for purpose or whether it should be repealed and replaced with a new version.

As part of this work, the City is inviting local businesses to share feedback on their experience with business licencing in Airdrie through a short survey.

Please complete the survey by June 26th, 2026.

Your feedback will help the City better understand:

  • how businesses experience the licencing process
  • whether licence categories and renewal timelines still make sense
  • how the bylaw could better support different business types, including home-based, mobile and shared-space businesses

This survey focuses on business licensing only and does not include zoning, development permits or provincial regulations. Thank you for helping shape a business licencing process that is clear, fair and responsive to Airdrie’s growing and diverse business community.

Rocky View County Business Licence Survey

Are you a business owner in Rocky View County?

The County wants to hear directly from local businesses as it explores whether a business licensing program may be appropriate.

Businesses are being asked for feedback on:

▪️Benefits of a licensing program

▪️Concerns

▪️Potential fees

▪️Possible exemptions

▪️How to address businesses based outside the County

▪️Approaches to compliance

▪️Renewal timelines

At this point, Council has not made a final decision on whether to implement business licensing.

Please complete the survey by July 31, 2026.

Congratulations to Habitat for Humanity on the celebration of their affordable housing project in Airdrie on June 10th!

The Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce was honoured to attend Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta's celebration marking the completion of an entire city block of affordable housing in Bayview.

This remarkable $4.5 million development will provide safe, affordable homeownership opportunities for 11 local families, representing an important step toward addressing housing needs in our growing community.

Congratulations to Habitat for Humanity, the Government of Alberta, the Government of Canada, the City of Airdrie, the many corporate and individual supporters, and the countless volunteers whose dedication helped make this vision a reality.
