Dear Lakeway Family,
We are so grateful for your prayers and encouragement as we continue to seek the Lord’s guidance in identifying our next Senior Pastor. He has been so faithful in leading our steps and covering us with His perfect peace. We have been gathering to strategize, and I would love to share some updates with you:
- A flow chart with timeline goals to begin and complete specific tasks and milestones has been created.
- We have met with the new Senior Pastor at Hill Country Bible Church to understand his perspective and gain wisdom on what works well during the interview, hiring, and transition process. Hill Country Bible also used SlingShot for its pastoral search process.
- The job description for our next Senior Pastor has been revised to take the congregational desires into consideration.

The contract with SlingShot has been executed, and we are committed and excited to work with them. Moreover, they’ve received the updated job description and are ready to begin the search process.
Here is how you can continue to pray:
- For the Lord to keep us focused and unified on our called task while always returning to prayer and walking patiently with Him.
- For our entire Lakeway Church staff to find joy and satisfaction in their work.
- For our congregation to deepen their trust in the Lord as He calls His next choice for our church according to His perfect purpose and timing.
The prayer team continues to meet each Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in rooms 203/204; all are welcome to attend.
