SB County Assessor Candidate Dara Smith Speaks at the Democratic Luncheon Club

"We look forward to hearing from Dara and Club member and former Assessor Don Williamson at an upcoming meeting,” said Attorney Timothy Prince, Esq, President of the San Bernardino Democratic Luncheon Club.

SAN BERNARDINO, CALIF.-- The San Bernardino Democratic Luncheon Club's August 9th Noon meeting at Juan Polo Restaurant in San Bernardino will feature Dara Smith, who is running for the position of San Bernardino County assessor-recorder-county clerk, as its speaker.

“As a longtime resident of this community, I am eager to leverage my executive experience to serve the residents and businesses of San Bernardino County,” said Smith. “I have pledged to stand up for taxpayers as a strong advocate of Proposition 13 and remain committed to promoting tax relief for seniors, veterans, and small businesses.”

San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran has endorsed Smith’s candidacy. “Her experience alone makes her the best choice for San Bernardino County taxpayers.”

Smith’s platform includes upholding Proposition 13 protections, ensuring fair and equitable property assessments, expanding public transparency, and advancing public education and outreach.

“I will ensure the public trust through transparency, accountability, and innovative technology. I will expand efforts in public education, career pathways, and workforce training through partnerships with local schools,” she said.

Should she win, Smith would be the first woman and first Asian-American to hold the office of San Bernardino County assessor-recorder-county clerk.

“We look forward to hearing from Dara as well as Club member and former Assessor Don Williamson at an upcoming meeting,” said Attorney Timothy Prince, Esq, President of the San Bernardino Democratic Luncheon Club.

San Bernardino Democratic Luncheon Club meetings start at noon at Juan Pollo Restaurant, 1258 West 5th St., San Bernardino.
