May brings more than Flowers

“Thanks to your support, we’re keeping pets healthy, fed, and at home with the people who love them. Here’s a quick recap of our recent vaccine clinic, how to register for the May Pet Food Pantry, and the progress we’re making on Jackson Memorial Pet Park.”

What we accomplished together

• 161 families registered
• 271 pets expected
• 136 families attended
• 207 pets served
• 48 cats vaccinated for the 1st time!

We got such a kick out of some of the names that we will never forget like Moo & Oink!

Thank you to all who made donations to support future clinics and the pet food pantry.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:

VCA Charities for supporting our pet food pantry

• We’ve been advocating for 4,869 days to create a recreational, educational greenspace for pets and people in the City of Gary.
• On April 14, during an executive session with the Gary Parks Board, we took the first major steps toward bringing the park to life.
• An MOU and Land Lease have been submitted for review, and we’re currently gathering contractor estimates.
• The park will be one-of-a-kind in the region with three designated areas: Small Dog, Large Dog, and a Solo Dog Area (for working dogs, dogs still learning social skills, or pet parents who prefer no interaction).
• We are looking forward to sharing our progress
