September Newsletter

Coordinator's Corner

September is here! Hopefully you were able to enjoy this beautiful Labor Day weekend! As we transition away from our summer activities there's still plenty of time to spend outside with our loved ones. Kindergarten readiness isn't just the academics and social skills it takes for school, don't forget about lunches too! Take advantage of the back to school season, and make a picnic this weekend. What lunch boxes can they open and close? What food containers can they open and close? Can they eat their lunch in the amount of time they would have at school?

These are all great ways to ensure that your child is able to eat an appropriate portion size, and have access to the food you're hoping they eat. Some schools have different times for their lunches so look it up or ask their teaching staff to find out how long lunch time asks.
