when uploading Docs to a transaction

Reminder to only use "Listing" and "Sale" when assigning your documents.

Do not use "Private" or "Public". "Buyer" can be used if you have both sides of a deal and want to differentiate the buyer-specific documents.

Sale docs = Sale

Listing docs = Listing

Listing Sold docs = Sale

1099 Info

I will be processing your 1099-NECs thru Quickbooks. They e-deliver 1099s and they are viewable with a free Intuit account. They also print and mail copies of the 1099s to your home addresses.

Keep an eye out for the email as it should show up in the next several days depending on when they process on their end. Make sure to check your junk email folders as well as they could end up in there.

Agents helping Agents

Thank you to Margaret Schickling for sharing her ideas below.

She sent a copy of the ALTA to all of her 2021 buyers, along with a personalized note & a request for referrals.

Per Margaret:

My email just states that I have attached their Alta from the sale or purchase of their property. I say something personal about it. Then I state to give the Alta to whoever will be preparing their taxes as there could be items on it that could be tax-deductible. I then state if you know anyone looking to sell or buy to feel free to share my contact information. If a property is in an area I do not cover, I will gladly find an agent who will take care of them.
