More than 60 Y’s Men turned out for Social Hour last Thursday at the Compo Beach pavilion. After bagels and donuts, almost 40 percent of the group headed out for a beachside walk to burn off a few calories.

Join us next Thursday for Social Hour at Compo Beach, 9–10 a.m.

No beach sticker? No problem—just tell the parking guard you’re with the Y’s Men. If you do have a car with a sticker, please use that one so we don’t wear out our welcome with Parks & Recreation.

What Better Opportunity Than Now for Community Service

This opportunity is right in the wheelhouse of many Y’s Men!

First Selectman Kevin Christie is looking for residents to serve on a variety of Town boards, commissions, and committees. There are immediate openings on the Flood & Erosion Control Board.

It’s an opportunity to put your professional experience to work, stay engaged, and help shape decisions that impact Westport, including parks and recreation, housing, the environment, and more. The time commitment is very manageable.

And you don’t have to navigate it alone. Fellow Y’s Men Jim Marpe, former Westport First Selectman, and Dewey Loselle, former Westport Operations Manager, are both available to share their insights and help guide anyone interested in getting involved.

A great way to give back and make a real difference in Westport.

Y's Men Treasurer Douglas Robinson (left) with outgoing treasurer Francois Auzerais,

Newly elected Y’s Men Treasurer Douglas Robinson talked finances with François Auzerais—who has just completed his term as Treasurer—at Thursday’s Y’s Men Social Hour at the Compo Beach Pavilion. During François’s term, he helped put the group on firm financial footing, with a reserve to cover contingencies.

Join the conversation with the Y’s Men this coming Thursday at the Compo Beach Pavilion. Coffee, donuts, bagels, and engaging conversations!
