In 2025, Fellowship Square focused on the mission established by Reverend Dr. John Scherzer to provide affordable housing and supportive services to seniors that struggle to make ends meet. This year Fellowship Square celebrated 65 years by driving housing forward!
Over the last year, we were honored to receive first place for our Fellowship Fresh Program from the Commonwealth Council on Aging and we received grant funding from INOVA Foundation and the Potomac Health Foundation. Our Fellowship Fresh Program is a success story that has helped to ensure our residents have nutritious and delicious food. Our volunteers and community partners have helped deliver over $50,000 worth of food to our residents since July.
Finally, in 2025 Fellowship Square celebrated our 65th Anniversary with events at our Fellowship Houses and a successful fundraiser that transported our Board Members, Donors, and Volunteers back to the 1960s! This significant milestone allowed us to reflect on our founder, his vision, and the mission Dr. Scherzer worked to establish back in 1960.
Reflecting on our past has helped Fellowship Square look ahead at our mission and our efforts for the future. As we wrap up 2025, we are focused on our mission of serving seniors that struggle to make ends meet--but we cannot do this alone. Please consider a financial contribution today.
