Dear Archway Trivium families,
This summer we are trying something new that will allow our teachers to be more effective in reading instruction starting day one. On Thursday, July 31, we are inviting all families in grades 1-5 to sign up for a time to bring your children to campus before the school year begins to have a reading assessment completed.
Of all the things we teach at Archway Trivium, the case could be made that reading and loving reading are the two most important lessons. So powerful is the ability to read that Frederick Douglass considered himself free, not after he was liberated from slavery, but when he learned to read. In like manner, I cannot speak for Mr. Douglass, or any of the other great thinkers of the past, but I can still commune with them through the written word. Please prioritize joining us on our reading assessment day on Thursday, July 31. Thank you!
