Scholarship/Fellowship Spotlight

Thanks to the generosity of PCC donors, a wide range of scholarship and fellowship opportunities are available to support students of the PCC.

The Holmes Fellowship
Supporting psychoanalytically informed research aimed at promoting social justice and reducing the psychic burden associated with oppressed identities.

Letters of Intent due: March 31

The Dorothy E. Holmes Fellowship supports broad and deep psychoanalytic understanding to promote a more just society and relieve personal suffering.

The Holmes Fellowship is made possible thanks to a generous donation from Sandra and Steve Bennett.

Judy Byck Scholarships

Welcoming applicants with MSW degrees who have never taken a PCC course

Application deadline: May 1

Judy Byck Scholarships will be given to MSW graduate social workers who have never before taken a course at the PCC. Once approved, Byck Scholars will have the opportunity to attend one course (8 or 16 weeks) with the full cost of tuition waived during the upcoming academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of psychoanalytic psychotherapy!

David Raft Fellowship

for clinicians enrolled in or applying to the PCC's training programs

Application deadline: May 1

The David Raft Fellowship offers up to $1,250 to support clinicians enrolled in or planning to join the training programs and continuing education courses at the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas. Funds may be used for tuition, program fees, or membership dues and can be applied over one or two years if not fully used in the first year.

These fellowships are made possible through a generous gift from Elizabeth Raft, MD, and additional donations from friends and colleagues.

New Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Scholarship
for LCSW clinicians who are currently enrolled in, or newly admitted to, the PCC's Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training program

Application deadline: May 1

Thanks to a generous anonymous gift to the PCC’s Fund for Psychoanalytic Education, we are pleased to offer four $5,000 scholarships for the upcoming academic year (beginning July 1).

This need-based support is designed to assist LCSW clinicians who are currently enrolled in, or newly admitted to, the PCC’s Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training program. Funds can be applied toward tuition, training fees, supervision, personal treatment, membership dues, and other educational costs.

April is National Volunteer Month

PCC was founded by volunteers and could not exist without thousands of volunteer hours each year. Thank you to all, past and present, who have served as committee members, board members, task force members, event planners and helpers, newsletter editors, fundraisers, instructors, referral service participants, and much more!

There are many opportunities for PCC members to volunteer and make a difference. You can join one of our committees, and we are also currently taking nominations to serve on the Board of Directors.

To learn more, contact Vann Pearsall.
