June 23, 2021

Dear Chamber & Community Members,

As summer is in full swing, I would like to thank the business community for everything they are doing to conserve water and help during this exceptional drought. It is of the utmost importance that we work together to reduce our water usage citywide. Please take a moment to send us the ways your business is saving water by emailing your story and photos to info@healdsburg.com. We want to share your success and ideas with the entire community through our social media channels and this newsletter.

This past week, our community has been adjusting to the new face covering, capacity, and social distancing regulations put in place by the state and Cal/OSHA. Sonoma County Tourism has developed new signs businesses can print out to communicate its specific policies to patrons. You can access the new signs here.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Chamber.

Thank you,

Tallia Hart, CEO
Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau

Temporary Parklet Reminders
PERMIT APPLICATIONS
Reminder that any business who wishes to extend their existing Temporary Outdoor Activities Permit beyond December 31, 2021 or intend to submit a new permit application for an outdoor parklet, must submit a Temporary Parklet Permit Application by Thursday, June 30, 2021.

To answer any questions regarding these temporary parklets, the City will host a Business Parklet "One-Stop" Meeting on Monday, June 28, at 9:15am via Zoom. City staff will be present to discuss any ideas or questions you have regarding your existing or in-process parklet.

ORANGE WATER FILLED BARRIERS
Starting Thursday, June 30, 2021, all City owned water filled barriers (orange k-rail barriers), must not be exposed. Parklet owners will need to provide a secure cover with appropriate traffic reflectors or provide an alternative barrier to protect their parklet independent of City equipment and resources. Reflective tape or markers are required at the corners of the parklet and, depending on location, along the length of the parklet to alert drivers, cyclists, and others. In low light conditions or rainy days, drivers unfamiliar with the parklets need a clear warning of these unexpected objects in the parking area
