SEVENTH GRADERS HOST COMMUNITY SPEAKERS

To kick off the fourth quarter theme of "Take Action" in relation to the UN Sustainable Development Goal #2 (End Hunger), the seventh grade hosted community speakers to hear the roles they play in combating food scarcity. Speakers from Transition House, UCSB, and The Rescue Mission outlined the actions their entities take in the community, which will act as inspiration as our students plan and design the community action they will take. We are so grateful to these volunteers for sharing their knowledge and time with our community.
INSURANCE AGENT ZACH HURST VISITS PERSONAL FINANCE CLASS

To conclude their recent unit on insurance, Personal Finance students heard from insurance agent Zach Hurst from The Weiser Agency who answered all their questions. Students learned the "essential" policies they will need as they enter college, how Zach helps customers who have been dropped from fire, flood, and earthquake under their main homeowner policies, recent trends in the insurance industry, and a day in the life of an insurance agent. Big thanks to Zach for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for this fascinating sector.
GRATITUDE IN FULL BLOOM: THANK YOU TO OUR PARENT VOLUNTEERS AND FAMILY ASSOCIATION

Yesterday, we honored our Family Association and extraordinary parent volunteers with an appreciation luncheon at Brass Bear Uptown. Their selfless giving of time, energy, and love for our students, faculty, and community makes all the difference at Laguna.

During the luncheon, we expressed gratitude to this year's FA Board members for their endless contributions and welcomed the incoming officers who will guide the Family Association in the new school year. A special recognition was extended to FA Board President Debbie Popovich for her exceptional leadership and enthusiasm, as well as to our senior parents for their enduring commitment to Laguna over the years.
