BELLEAIR BEACH GUIDE

As fall approaches and the heat begins to subside, many beachgoers will return to the water's edge. Here are some reminders of Belleair Beach rules to ensure that everyone has a fun and safe time. Click here for a comprehensive list of the city's beach codes.

  • We love our pets, but for the safety of our pets and fellow beachgoers, leave your pets at home.
  • Motorized vehicles may be a fun and easy way to get to the beach, but they are not permitted on the beach. Have a plan for parking them away from the beach area. The same applies to motorized watercraft - they are not permitted to be launched, retrieved, moored or docked at the beach at any time. No aircraft operations either, including model or remote operated aircraft.
  • Open fire or electric, gas or charcoal grills are not allowed on the beach.
  • Remember to stay hydrated, but not with alcohol. The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, as well as the use of glass containers, is not allowed.
  • Tents, cabanas, umbrellas and game equipment can enhance the beach experience. Your beach items are only permitted from sunrise to sunset. Please take everything with you when you leave at the end of each day, including any trash or debris. If you pack it in, please pack it out. Remember to leave nothing but your footprints.
  • No live music, parties or special events without prior written permission from the City Manager.
  • Our beach does not allow fireworks in an effort to keep our wildlife and beachgoers safe.

CITY WORKERS PREPARE FOR STORM SEASON

Before Tropical Storm Debby battered our shores, city staff members prepared by filling and distributing sandbags to residents. And after the storm passed, crews immediately began to replenish bags and prepare for the next storm event.

Thank you to Marvin Lloyd (left), Grady Wright (right), and Matt Verechi (not pictured) for keeping our community ready! We appreciate all you do!

ATTENTION CONDO ASSOCIATIONS

Calling all condo associations! Is your condo association information on file with the City of Belleair Beach? Please contact City Hall to verify your information via email or by calling 727-595-4646. The city maintains a point of contact for condo associations so we can efficiently contact the associations with any important updates or information.

CITY HOSTS BIG C MEETING

The City of Belleair Beach recently hosted the July Barrier Islands Governmental Council (BIG C) meeting. This is an opportunity to showcase our city to our fellow beach communities. Pinellas County Schools Superintendent Kevin Hendricks and Beth Rawlins, Pinellas County Schools Referendum advocate, led a discussion about the history of the Pinellas County School referendum and the proposal that will go before the voters on the November 5th ballot.

The BIG C is a governmental council including eleven municipalities on the west coast from St. Pete Beach to Clearwater.
