September 9th is
National "I Love Food" Day!
What a great holiday to celebrate! And, as usual, we will reschedule said holiday for Saturday...it's just easier that way since this is when the Mississippi Farmers Market is open!

If you are a member of the "I Love Food" club, you will have a great time shopping at the Market Saturday. Of course you'll find an array of fresh, locally-grown produce to choose from. And, because you have made such healthful, nutritious (and delicious) choices during your "I Love Food" celebratory spree - check out the pies, cookies, breads, jams and jellies throughout the market. Oh, look for locally raised beef, eggs, dairy, and honey. And while you are "loving food" shopping, don't forget about items for your home! We'll make it "I Love Artisans." day too.
Plus, the City Limits Cafe is located right in the center of the market - more food to love!

Goodness - the Mississippi Farmers Market is the perfect place to be on "I Love Food" day.

We hope to see you Saturday!

Grandparents Day is Sunday
Grandparents are wonderful! They can be so much fun, and they always have your favorite food ready for you to dig in to. Grandparents are full of interesting knowledge and beautiful memories. And, they are always ready with embarrassing stories about your parents. Got to love them!
Celebrating grandparents was a fairly new idea when West Virginia native, Marian McQuade pressed the U.S. Senate to proclaim a special day for grandparents in 1978.
That same year, President Jimmy Carter signed the bill into law proclaiming special recognition for grandparents throughout the land. Traditionally, observed on the first Sunday after Labor Day, National Grandparents Day is celebrated this year on September 12, 2021.
