Last month, we teamed up with MAGNET and Lorain County Community College to host Jobs for the Future and Congressional staff here in Northeast Ohio. It was a chance to share all the good work happening in our community related to workforce and give local context to some of the big decisions facing federal lawmakers. It's hard to keep track of all the federal policy changes occurring -- and surely, there are many more to come.
I made the decision to return to Northeast Ohio three summers ago so I could work locally to make real impact, away from the bureaucracy of the federal government. Yet, I took this position with the understanding that I wasn't leaving my many years in Congressional Affairs and the Labor Department behind. I want to make sure that, in addition to promoting what we're doing locally, I'm also using my policy experience and relationships to our benefit. I've been tracking all the changes and staying on top of what may be coming down the pike so that together, we can continue to innovate and fulfill our critical collective mission.
Truly: If you have a question or want to know what the implications of different policy changes or legislative activity might be, give me a call. Let's chat. I'm here to serve you by cutting through the noise and finding clarity amid the chaos.
Thanks for reading!
