OKTOBERFEST

Haiti Hunger Fight Silent Auction items can now be previewed by clicking the button below. Bidding starts on 10/6 and closes on 10/19 at 7pm during Oktoberfest. Be sure to check back often as we are constantly adding new items. If you have an item to donate for the auction please let us know and we’ll be happy to get it listed. Remember, every dollar spent at the auction will be used to feed a hungry child.

Recurring donations are tripled for the first year and doubled for life! Donations can be set up online by clicking the "donate here" button below or by completing a donation card, available between services and during Oktoberfest. Please mention “St Andrew” when you donate.

For questions, donation cards, or help with the auction site, please see us between services or contact Dave Hess at 321-698-4574, dave5522000@yahoo.com.

ADULT MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

The Bookmen are reading "American Nations" by Colin Woodward. Up next they will be reading "Life Together" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The Bookmen meet in the St. Andrew library on Friday mornings at 9am.

Everyday Lutherans Adult Sunday School Class meets each Sunday morning at 9:50 in the library. This is for any adult that is looking for fellowship at Saint Andrew. Each week is different, so don't feel like you have missed anything. We are using Faith Lens through the ELCA website for our weekly curriculum. Find it here: Faith Lens » Blog Archive - Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (elca.org) Contact Leah Danielson (LeahatSALC@gmail.com) with questions. A Zoom link can be found on the website calendar.

You still have time to sign up for the New Member Class. Class meets every Sunday at 9:50am in Pastor Bonners office. Please contact the church office or a pastor if you are interested in attending. Class runs through October 20.

Women’s Wednesday in the Word (women’s bible study) meet in the library every Wednesday at 1pm.

Nursery Attendants Needed:

The nursery is a wonderful place to volunteer and support our little Lutherans. Please prayerfully consider this very important position. Per our insurance, we are required to have 2 attendants (18 and older) for each service at. All volunteers require a background check. Please see Sarah House in the church office or email her at office@saintandrewchurch.com to begin the process. If you are interested, please reach out to Linda Strickland at: president@saintandrewchurch.com.

NEW PICTORIAL MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY FOR SAINT ANDREW

Our goal is to have a new and updated directory with recent pictures of all congregational members by January 2025. This is how you and your family can help make it happen.

1) Complete the simple Google document found here and attach a recent photo (less than a year old). The picture should be of all family members in your household who are members at Saint Andrew. Please complete all portions of the document because we are also making sure we have the most up to date information on file. The picture can be one you have taken with your phone or camera, but it does need to be of good quality and good focus. Click the button below to bring you to the Google Doc

2) If you don't have a recent photo and would like to have one taken, we will have a photographer available during the Ministry Fair on Sunday, September 22. You can stop at the booth anytime that Sunday morning and have your picture taken.

Both the pictorial directory and membership directory will be found on the Saint Andrew Church website and secured by password protection.

If you have questions, please ask any one of the Membership Development Committee. Kyle Bednar, Jeff Hill, Tom McElroy, Beth Smith, Peter Strickland or Courtney Wainner.

Thank you,

Beth
