"For we preach Christ crucified...the power of God and the wisdom of God" (I Cor. 15:20)

Friends,

I returned recently from a great trip to Africa. But developments in India are so exciting that I must share them now! Regional Teacher candidates I trained online via Zoom earlier this year have just completed the first two GPT Workshops ever held in India! To God be the glory!

The first Workshop was held in Cuddalore. It was led by Rev. Edwin Ponniah along with Joseph Durai. 22 local pastors participated in the workshop. The participants told Edwin that they were recommitting themselves to basic Bible truth, and faithful pastoral care.

The second Workshop was held in the village of KC Patti with 14 participants. The response to the Workshop there was just as enthusiastic. They said in part, "Thanks to the lesson on The Office of Deacon, in Tier 1, they had a new sense of the importance of identifying and equipping deacons in their local churches. In particular they pledged to, "equip and and empower deacons in our churches. We will identify and use deacons for the expansion of the ministry." We say, Praise the Lord!

Soon GPT will be able to certify new Regional Teachers in India.

When that happens, we will be able to show that progress on our map of India, pictured here. Look for that update in upcoming newsletters.

Meanwhile, pray for the continued spread of the gospel in India. Pray for the Lord's blessing on our team of Regional Teachers and the poor and under-equipped pastors they are training!
