Established Resale Values 2015-2023
Resale pricing adjustments are based on actual sales transactions and current market conditions such as overall trends in asking prices, increase or decrease in supply, demand, and sales volume. We obtain sales pricing data from owners and operators, lenders and lessors, brokers and equipment manufacturers worldwide.

While we do review all models each quarter, frequently traded models are updated as soon as they begin to show variation from the previously published values. Stay up to date on resale pricing changes by purchasing an annual subscription.
1Q Market Overview

On April 11, 2024, HeliValue$’ held the Q1 2024 pricing meeting. Similar to last quarter, we are seeing slowing in the resale markets across the board. This is coupled by multiple factors depending on the size class of helicopter.

  • Piston helicopters: While Enstrom Helicopters have seen a slight decrease in supply, Robinson Helicopters and Schweizer RSG have seen a slight increase. Despite this, asking prices are holding strong.

  • Light Singles: Activity remains high, particularly for models like the Bell 206L series, Bell 407 series, and Airbus AS350 series. However, supply has slightly increased for most models except for the Bell 206L series and Airbus AS350B2 model.

  • Light Twins: Slow movement is attributed to decreasing demand, likely due to rising costs of engine overhauls.

  • Medium Twins: Limited availability of offshore aircraft like the AW139, AW189, and H175 is impacting market movement. The Bell 412 series is seeing more transactions and shrinking supply. VIP sales are also slowing despite availability.

  • Heavy Twins: Supply is shrinking, particularly for aircraft in needed configurations. Sikorsky S92A helicopters are facing supply chain issues, leading to many aircraft being AOG or in storage awaiting parts. Limited availability of H225s has resulted in increased trading activity for AS332L2s after years of inactivity.
