Selling your social

What’s new: Many business owners post exclusively on their LinkedIn profile and neglect the company page and blog/newsroom on their website.

Why that matters: If you want to sell your business, your personal LinkedIn posts will not enhance the sale price. The company page and quality of the content on your website will.

Going deeper: You can make an argument that building a strong network of connections and writing in-depth posts that showcase your expertise will enhance the quality of your product, your business.

Unfortunately, you can’t sell those things.

What you can do: When you post to your profile, post it to your company page as well. You will want to alter it a tad. Unless your voice/writing style is similar to what you use on the website.

Take another step: Post those great LinkedIn long form posts to your website’s blog. And then do something novel and post it to your other social media pages—including your Google Business page. Those are all things that enhance the value of your company for your current customers and prospects and a potential new owner.

Word up,

Joe

P.S. There is a way to increase the followers of your company page through your individual LinkedIn profile. Reply to this email and I’ll show you how.
