SAFETY IN THE PARKS
The Ranger Division would like to remind you of a few safety tips and rules for everyone to have the most enjoyable experience while out and about in the parks:
  • Do not leave valuables inside your vehicle in plain sight of others. Properly secure your belongings or leave them at home.
  • While exercising in the parks, carry a cell phone or have a buddy join you.
  • The speed limit within all parks is 15mph. Be vigilant and watch for pedestrians.
  • Please be sure that all fires within a BBQ pit are extinguished prior to leaving.
  • Dogs are required to be on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for removing pet waste.
  • Motorized vehicles may only be used on designated roadways and parking lots.
  • Please be courteous to other park visitors by picking up your litter and avoid disruptive behavior.
  • Keep It Close - keeping your phone close can not only save your life in an emergency, but also aid in saving the lives of others.

To report a suspicious person, activity or vehicle of concern, call the St. Charles Police/Ranger Dispatch at 636.949.3309. We appreciate all eyes and ears within the parks and welcome comments. General observations can be made by calling the Parks and Recreation Administration Office at 636.949.3372. For immediate emergency response to report fire, medical emergency or a crime in progress, dial 911.
