Staying Ahead in a Changing Landscape

February is a key planning period for car wash owners, balancing operations with preparation for the busy months ahead. WCA is here to support you with practical education, networking, and resources that strengthen day-to-day operations.

One upcoming opportunity is Navigating the Workplace Immigration Landscape, which will cover recent enforcement updates, E-Verify expansion, and practical steps for maintaining compliance, preparing for site visits, and supporting workforce stability.

WCA will also be front and center at The Car Wash Show in Nashville in just a few weeks. You won't want to miss the fantastic Self-Serve/IBA-oriented education we will be providing. Additionally, we are putting on dual car wash tours of both express tunnel and self-serve/IBA locations around the Music City on May 10th. The tours will conclude with an old-fashioned Southern BBQ/live-music networking event at one of Nashville's best local spots. Seats are still available, but we encourage you to register soon as tickets typically sell out weeks before The Show.

President's Message

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share why the WCA matters to me.

My name is Miguel Rodriguez. I have spent my career in the car wash industry as an operator and working closely with operators. From vacuuming cars early on to running sites to supporting others through distribution, this industry has been a constant in my life.

The WCA plays an important role in our industry. It is a place to share ideas, learn from one another, and have honest conversations about what is working and what is not. At its best, the association serves as both a sounding board and an advocate for operators, helping ensure our voices are heard and our interests are represented.

While online forums are useful, I believe direct conversations still matter. Sometimes it is easier and more productive to talk things through one-on-one, especially when working through real-world operational or business decisions.

I want you to know that I am accessible. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, I encourage you to reach out directly. Hearing from operators is critical to keeping the WCA practical, relevant, and operator-focused.

I look forward to getting to know more of you and supporting our members however I can.

Miguel Rodriguez
