MLOHT looking for Primary Care Recruiter

The Middlesex London Ontario Health Team (MLOHT) is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Primary Care Recruiter. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in improving access to primary care services in the Middlesex London area while working closely with a dedicated team of local healthcare providers and organizations to implement effective initiatives


This is a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work, with occasional travel required throughout the region/province as needed. Interested candidates are invited to submit a letter of interest and resume no later than Sept. 11.

Virtual Urgent Care (VUC) appointments are available seven days a week for children and adults with urgent, non-life-threatening medical issues through Urgent Care Ontario. Improving Access to Vaccines and Interpretation Services

Thanks to Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC) support, we are still offering free access to On-Demand, Virtual, Interpretation Services at Primary Care Clinics. This free virtual interpretation service can be used for any type of appointment, as long as the topic of vaccines is included in the discussion.

Middlesex County 2026 Budget Survey

Middlesex County is beginning the process of preparing its 2026 operating and capital budget, and your voice is an important part of the conversation. What matters most to you? Whether it’s roads and transportation, health care, housing, or new initiatives, your input will help guide how funds will be allocated for the coming year. Click here to complete the survey. Deadline is Sept. 15.

Vanier mental wellness programs offered

Vanier Children’s Mental Health is now offering a number programs to help youth, parents and caregivers address their mental wellness and build happier connections.


Programs include:

  • Talk-in Clinics, for youth aged 0-18 and their families, is a walk-in therapy session with a Child and Family therapist every Wednesday from 2-6 p.m.
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, for youth aged 14-17, to learn how to handle stress and intense emotions, is held every Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m.
  • PAIR Clinics, for parents and caregivers, helps those with infants aged 0-3 who may be overwhelmed with the challenges of parenting. Appointment needed.


All sessions are held in person at 871 Trafalgar St. in London. For more information on these and other programs, call 519-433-0334.

Self-Management Programs Network

An online directory of self-management workshops in southwestern Ontario is now available. The Self-Management Programs Network website lists upcoming self-management workshops in our area for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.  

 

These workshops share skills that can help you manage your health condition and make your life better. They also teach you how to support someone you care about with their health condition. Examples of workshops include "Living a Health Life with Chronic Pain” and “Powerful Tools for Caregivers”. 

 

Programs are also available for Healthcare Providers that promote working in partnership with patients and caregivers to achieve better health outcomes.


Each program is free and available for anyone 18 years and older in southwestern Ontario. Check out the full list of available programs at selfmanagementprograms.ca
