North Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project

Sea Pines CSA's contractors continue conducting Major Roadway and Infrastructure Reconstruction Improvements along North Sea Pines Drive.

Ocean Gate Drainage Work

Crews successfully completed stormwater drainage pipe excavation and installation across the roadway on North Sea Pines Drive in proximity to the Ocean Gate. Crews will continue working in the Ocean Gate area next week, weather permitting.
Spotted Sandpiper Road Drainage Work

Drainage work continues on Sandpiper Road and will continue through the end of the week, weather permitting. Well-point operations on Catbird Lane will begin on Monday, December 20th.

General Project Reminders

  • North Sea Pines Drive Roadway Reconstruction will continue through January. Heavy traffic delays should be expected on North Sea Pines Drive as crews will utilize single-lane and temporary full lane closures along this roadway to accommodate the work. Traffic control will be in place, obey the speed limit within the construction zone.
  • The leisure trail along North Sea Pines Drive from The Sea Pines Beach Club to Lawton Drive is closed to bike and pedestrian traffic. Please refer to the Leisure Trail detour map here for more information. 
  • The Beachwalks located at #39 & #40 are not currently accessible from North Sea Pines Drive due to this project.
  • Sea Pines CSA will continue to keep the community updated throughout this project through our community emails and our website at www.seapinesliving.com/seapinesdrive.

Leisure Trail Repairs

Backfilling edges of the leisure trails throughout the community began this week and will continue into the week of December 20th.
Roadway Asphalt Repairs

Minor asphalt repairs will continue into next week along Canvasback Road, Greenwood Drive (near Loblolly Road), Black Tern Road, Long Marsh Lane, Willow Oak West, weather permitting. Traffic control will be in place, as needed.
Lagoon Tree Trimming

Lagoon Tree Trimming is underway near Willow Oak and Willow Oak West and will continue into the week of December 20th.

2022 Annual Sea Pines CSA Commercial, Employee, Long Term Renters, Relative, Non-Resident, Island Resident, and Hilton Head Prep Decal Applications Now Available

PLEASE NOTE- THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE PROPERTY OWNER DECALS
 
We will begin issuing annual Sea Pines CSA Commercial, Employee, Long Term Renters, Relative, Non-Resident, Island Resident, and Hilton Head Prep Decals on Monday, January 3, 2022. 

We are no longer accepting paper applications, to apply for Sea Pines Annual Passes please visit www.seapinesliving.com/request. 2022 Decals will be required for entry by 2/7/2022.

The Sea Pines CSA Administration Staff will notify each business /individual via email when their 2022 decal(s) are ready for pickup from the Reception Desk at the Sea Pines CSA Administration Building located at 175 Greenwood Drive (Monday - Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm). Pet Leash Law Reminder

Sea Pines Security has received numerous calls about dogs running at large around the community. Dogs must be restrained by a leash or fencing at all times (except when the no leash policy is permitted on the beach). A state-issued ticket can be issued to pet owners who do not have their pet/s properly leashed.

Sea Pines Trolley Holiday Schedule

The Sea Pines Trolley will run on December 23rd and December 31st.

Trolley Safety Reminders:

  • Request to riders: Please be advised, close contact amongst passengers is expected. Passengers ride at their own risk. If you feel sick, have a fever, cough or other symptoms, please stay home and do not ride the trolley. Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.

  • Personal Protection Equipment is required: All passengers and trolley drivers will be required to wear face coverings when aboard the trolley. Refusal to wear a face covering or acting in an unsafe manner will result in denial of entry or expulsion from this service.

2022 Sea Pines CSA Residential Assessment Reminder

Invoices were mailed the first week in December with the balance being due on January 10, 2022. We appreciate your timely remittance. If you have any questions, please contact Tracey McNeill, Finance Administrator, at traceym@csaseapines.com.

Critical Infrastructure Referendum Fund Collection Update

Unfortunately, because the Critical Infrastructure Referendum has been challenged in court by Ms. Jill Jinks, a residential property owner, the $600 assessment that was overwhelmingly approved by the residential property owners is not included in the 2022 assessment invoice. The litigation is still in the process of “Discovery” and we do not expect any decisions from the Court until sometime next year. We remain confident that the Referendum results will be upheld, and we will bill that separate assessment when we are able to do so later next year.

Developed Property Landscaping Maintenance Reminders
  • Roofs, gutters, driveways, and other hard surfaces shall be cleared of pine straw and other vegetative debris with reasonable frequency so that there is no accumulated buildup.
  • Fallen leaves are permitted as landscaping ground cover, but shall be maintained to a neat, clean appearance.
  • Limbs, sticks, fronds, fallen leaves (not used as ground cover of bedded areas) and other such vegetative debris shall be removed from the Property

All other Sea Pines CSA offices will remain open under normal hours of operation.

Commercial Vendor Holiday Access Restriction

Vehicles with commercial decals or commercial passes are not permitted in Sea Pines on the following days: Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.

This restriction does not apply to pool companies, housekeeping, and companies deliveries to commercial entities. For emergency access for service providers on these holidays, please contact Sea Pines Security Dispatch at 843.671.7170.
2022 Sea Pines CSA Committee Member Applicants

Wreaths Across America Wreath Laying Ceremony at Six Oaks Cemetery

Six Oaks Cemetery will honor veterans this Christmas during their Twelfth Annual Wreaths Across America ceremony. You are cordially invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held at Six Oaks Cemetery, on Saturday, December 18th at noon, following the ceremony, over 900 wreaths will be placed on veterans' gravesites by volunteers and event attendees.
