Celebrating Mothers Every Day...
This past Sunday, Memorial Tabernacle celebrated Mothers. Brother Darren, Brother Malachi, Deaconess Pier, and Deacon Tony shared on the topic "Things My Mother Taught Me". Enjoy the Worship Service including our Mother's Day Celebration linked below.
"Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.' Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." - Proverbs 31:25-30

Where Does Your Faith Stand?
Pastor King reiterates a point made by Brother Smiley. What would you do? Where does your faith stand? "For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s." - Romans 14:8 NKJV

You are invited and encouraged to prioritize your mental wellness and get the resources you need to thrive at life. As we concluded Hope & Faith Mental Wellness Program Monday night, do not think our intentionality stops. Share with Mrs. Tiffany or Deaconess Valerie if you are in need of support. We live life together, and we are each on this journey TOGETHER!
The theme for Mental Health Month 2023 is "Take Time To To Look Around, Look Within".
This Mental Health Month, challenge yourself to examine your world and how it can affect your overall health. Look around, look within – from your neighborhood to genetics, many factors come into play when it comes to your mental health. Mental Health America 2023 Mental Health Month toolkit includes information about how an individual’s environment impacts their mental health, suggestions for making changes to improve and maintain mental well-being, and how to seek help for mental health challenges.
Tips, resources, and information are shared on our special mediums and during our Morning Glory Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. Wear your green ribbon or something green during the month to promote mental wellness with all you come in contact with.

Let's continue to love and care for one another. We are ONE COMMUNITY! Join us at Memorial Tabernacle Church as we serve, love, and share God's love. As our Mission Statement reads:
The Memorial Tabernacle Church has come together by the Holy Spirit for the specific purpose of preaching and teaching the word of God, (the Bible), and about Jesus Christ, God's son, and to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the North Oakland Community and its environs; to bring healing to the brokenhearted and deliverance to the oppressed; to be a center of genuine concern for those in need, a sanctuary of community worship that is neither shallow nor restrained, a spiritual home where members find an expression of precious love for one another and a haven for the unsaved.
