1969 Alum Issues June Challenge

A very generous 1969 alum has issued a $50,000 "Double Your Donation" Challenge for the month of June! Every gift given to The Georgetown Fund between today and June 30, 2025, will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000!

Because 80% of every student’s tuition is funded by scholarships, every single gift to The Georgetown Fund makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and helps to ensure that the College continues to thrive for generations to come.

In addition, every individual who makes a gift to the Georgetown Fund by June 30, 2025, will be entered into a drawing to win a custom-made Georgetown t-shirt stadium quilt. The quilt is being lovingly handcrafted from GC-themed tees by our very own library director, Jackie Young.

Celebrating the Class of 2025

If you missed Commencement Weekend at Georgetown College, we have a few ways for you catch-up on all the excitement!

Rev. Dr. JC Campbell '11, Senior Pastor of Greater Hope Church in Evansville, Indiana, was the featured speaker at Baccalaureate. Dr. Campbell also currently serves as the Regional Director for the prestigious Center for Congregations. View Video

Knox Thames '96 served as the 2025 Commencement speaker for GC's undergraduate ceremony. Thames is an international human rights lawyer, advocate, and author who has dedicated his career to promoting human rights, defending religious minorities, and fighting against persecution. View Video

GC was honored to have Kentucky Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman as the 2025 Commencement speaker for our master's degree ceremony. She is a lifelong Kentuckian, educator, writer, and founder of the nonprofit “Lead Kentucky.” View Video

Athletics Announces 2025 Hall of Fame

Georgetown College Athletics is proud to announce the Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Five student-athletes, one coach, one special recipient, and one team have been selected to receive this year's honor.

The induction ceremony will take place at 6 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 inside the James A. & Martha R. Brown Conference Center on Georgetown College's East Campus.

Own a Piece of Davis-Reid Alumni Gym

The renovation of Davis-Reid Alumni Gym is underway! Crews of all types have been on campus working on the project with an estimated completion date of Fall 2025. This is the oldest gym in Kentucky where collegiate athletics are contested! The current gym building was constructed in 1925, dedicated in 1926, and renovated in 1986. Over the years, Davis-Reid Alumni Gym has served as a chapel, classroom, and even student housing. In January 2012, the facility was renamed to honor longtime basketball coaches Bob Davis and Jim Reid.

"Silence" Exhibit at Loudoun House Features Student and Faculty Art

Visit the Loudoun House in Lexington, Kentucky, now through July 11 to view "Silence," an art exhibition illustrating the 13th-century romance "Le Roman de Silence" by Heldris de Cornuälle. Professor Boris Zakić and his team of GC student-artists formed a modern scriptorium - researching, adapting, and illuminating this classic text.

Campus Summer Hours

Georgetown College is operating on a summer schedule in June and July, with campus offices open Monday through Thursday and closed every Friday. The optimal hours to visit most campus offices or the Ensor Learning Resource Center are 9 AM to 2 PM.
