EHS EMPLOYEE DRIVE SUPPORTS FLOOD-AFFECTED FAMILY
IN LIBERTY COUNTY

HEAT AND YOUR HEALTH:
STAY SAFE THIS SUMMER
| |
As temperatures rise, it's important to protect yourself from heat-related illnesses. Stay cool by seeking shade, taking breaks, and avoiding peak heat times. When indoors, use air conditioning or visit a cooling center. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding sugary, caffeinated, and alcoholic drinks. Watch for symptoms like muscle cramps, heavy sweating, dizziness, and nausea.
For those at higher risk, including children with asthma, pregnant women, seniors, and people with chronic health conditions, it's not just important, it's vital to take extra precautions. Check the CDC HeatRisk Dashboard for local updates.
