Over 20 years of leading the way by directing a suite of programs/ initiatives for childhood health and school readiness in Weld County.
United Way of Weld County’s early childhood efforts are now all under the umbrella of Reading Great by 8, formerly known as Promises for Children. Reading Great by 8, which includes Weld County’s Early Childhood Council, is a collective impact hub for partners, providers, caregivers, policy makers and business leaders to coordinate, collaborate and align resources for early childhood efforts and advocacy. Through Reading Great by 8, United Way of Weld County supports and provides programs for children and families that lead to early childhood success. In line with this change, “Promises for Children” will no longer be used when referring to Weld County’s Early Childhood Council. Please contact Sheri Hannah-Ruh (sheri@unitedway-weld.org) with questions.
