Electronic ballots for the Wendell Falls Community Association Annual Election have been distributed through ElectionBuddy. All ballots must be submitted by 5:30pm on October 15th. ElectionBuddy will be sending out reminder notices via email or text to those who have not yet voted.
On your ballot, you will notice two options. “Vote on Ballot” allows the voter to proceed and vote for the candidates. “Register vote towards quorum” means the voter is choosing to abstain from voting for a candidate, while still having their participation count toward quorum. You will not be able to select both options, as they represent two different choices: voting for candidates or abstaining from the vote.
Per Section 2.10 of the Wendell Falls Community Association Bylaws, quorum for the Annual Meeting requires representation of 20% of the total Class “A” votes. Additionally, Section 2.12 provides that when voting is conducted by written or electronic ballot, the number of ballots cast must meet or exceed the applicable quorum requirement. Therefore, electronic ballots submitted through ElectionBuddy can count toward establishing quorum.
The Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 5pm. Please note the annual meeting will be held virtually this year, via this Zoom link:
