You'll be supporting the Habitat Women Build initiative that gives a hand up,
not a hand out to hard-working, low-income families who are waiting for construction on their Habitat homes to be completed. Since they have been unable to qualify for traditional bank mortgages, the Habitat zero-interest mortgage program makes it possible for them to purchase a decent, safe home in which to raise their children and grandchildren.

Each has qualified for a zero-interest mortgage through the Habitat Family program; each has completed 250 hours of "sweat equity" in helping to build other Habitat homes and 100 hours of homeowner and financial literacy courses.
