4 Fugitives Caught Because of Crime Stoppers Social Media Post
Last month, Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County posted Fort Worth PD’s Top 10 Most Wanted on our Facebook page. That post reached over 107,000 people and garnered 43,000 engagements! Because of this post 2 individuals turned themselves into the police. One suspect was wanted for sexual assault and the other was wanted possession of controlled substances. Additionally, Crime Stoppers received a tip about another suspect on that same list that was wanted for compelling prostitution by force. This tip led to the arrest of this individual.
We then had a fourth individual from that same list arrested. This individual was wanted for murder. He was also part of the Texas Top 10 Most Wanted. The Texas Top 10 Most Wanted said of him: “[The suspect] is affiliated with the Crips gang and has ties to Fort Worth, Dallas, and Houston, Texas. In 1995, [he] was convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance and sentenced to five years of confinement. In 1998, he was convicted of Murder and given a 40-year sentence. He was released on parole in March 2018. On October 13, 2021, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for [his] arrest for Parole Violation. Additionally, on March 7, 2022, the Fort Worth Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest for Murder." The anonymous tipster that provided information that led to this individual's arrest is not only going to get the $1000 reward from Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County, they are also going to receive a $5,000 reward from Texas Crime Stoppers. That’s a total of $6,000 for that anonymous tipster! That’s four individuals from the same Top 10 Most Wanted post! If anything shows that Crime Stoppers works, it has to be this Facebook post.
