PASTOR TIM IS ON THE WALK TO EMMAUS

Pastor Tim is participating in the Walk to Emmaus this weekend (Thursday through Sunday), a spiritual retreat designed to help participants deepen their relationship with Christ, experience God’s grace in new ways, and strengthen their faith through worship, prayer, reflection, and fellowship with other Christian men. This time away offers an opportunity to step back from the everyday responsibilities of ministry and make space for spiritual renewal. Pastor Tim will not be available in person or by phone during the walk. On Monday, he will be out of the office attending a Board of Ordained Ministries meeting and will return to the office on Tuesday.

If you need pastoral care before Tuesday, please call Ray at the church office, and he will put you in touch with Pastor Jason.

This Sunday, Rev. Richie Hayes will preach in our pulpit. His message, “Barns, Storehouses, and a Prayerful Approach to Life,” is based on Luke 12:13–21.

Please keep Pastor Tim and the other men participating in this weekend’s Walk to Emmaus in your prayers, that they may experience God’s presence, grow in faith, and return refreshed and renewed for the work to which God has called them.

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK

We need 50 participants--no donation, no money! You just need a giving spirit and willing hands. We want you to be there and join us all in two hours of church family love and grace.

On Saturday, November 7, we will be packing Holiday Food Boxes for the hungry in Northeast Tennessee. Helpers must be at least 10 years old. For safety, everyone must wear closed toed shoes.

Linda Isenberg has volunteered to serve coffee cake at 9:30 in the Fellowship Hall and we will have some coffee to go with her cake. At 10:15, we will carpool to Second Harvest.

Please sign up across from the office if you will come and also sign up for coffee and cake so Linda knows how much she has to bake.
