Get Involved in YOUR Community

Volunteer with BHA!

Did you know that BHA currently has seven volunteer committees? Volunteers are your BHI neighbors who give their valuable time to help BHA, fellow property owners and Bald Head Island. This is a great way to get involved on this beautiful island! At the beginning of each year, committee terms expire, and new volunteers are needed.

The 2024 committee rosters are on the website, and you can read more about each committee as well as each committee’s Bylaws charges and goals here!

Listed below are the committees and the number of volunteers needed for each:

  • Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Sections A and B
  • Education and Recreation (ER) Committee
  • Resource Conservation and Beautification (RCB) Committee
  • Long Range Planning (LRP) Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Nominating Committee
  • Community Wide Standards (CWS) Committee

If you would like to volunteer, fill out the volunteer application here!

A big thank you goes out to all of our hard-working volunteers!

🌿 Operation Re-Forest 2025 🌳

We’re excited to announce the start of Operation Re-Forest 2025! This initiative aims to replenish and enhance the tree canopy of Bald Head Island, an essential element of our island’s natural beauty and ecological health.

Whether you're contributing to an ARC mitigation plan, honoring a loved one with an honor tree, or simply looking to enrich the landscape of your property, this is the perfect time to participate.

✨ Why Participate?

  • No barge fee! Now is the best time to place an order and not worry about any additional costs.
  • Personalized Contributions: Honor a loved one with an honor tree. BHA’s website has a map of tree placement and an honor recipient list at www.BaldHeadAssociation.com so you’ll know exactly where your honor tree is planted.

🌳 Your Involvement Matters: The trees we plant today will shape the island’s future and provide ecological benefits for generations to come. Thank you for being a part of this important mission!

Listed below are the order options for this year:

  • Live Oak 7 gallon-$110 each
  • Yaupon Holly 7 gallon-$65
  • Wax Myrtle 7 gallon- $65

All submittals need to be completed by December 18th.

Check out the Operation Re-Forest — We Forest map and list of honorees on BHA’s website at www.BaldHeadAssociation.com/re-forest.
